CORPORATE EVENT CASE STUDY:

Select Education

Scientific Lab Supplies asked us to support their corporate event at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham in May 2014. They wanted us to appear within the 'corporate' stands for their many suppliers, to add a bit of fun and interest to the day.

We delivered small scientific demonstartions and provided resources for conference delegates to get hands on with the fun science we do. It was a great day and enjoyed by all.

On this evidence it would seem adults like hands on science as much as children......

Q. What types of special events do you have?
A. At Mad Science, our special events can fit any type of event that you are hosting. For example, our special events can take the form of shows, science days and fairs, and science booths.
Q. How many children can a show accommodate?
A. Between 50 and 300 children at a time. We can adjust our shows to the size of your venue and to your budget.
Q. How long does a show last?
A. On average, our shows last between 45 minutes and an hour and we can run upto 5 shows per day, with a 15 minute interval between each. Science days, fairs and booths can be packaged as full day events.
Q. What kind of space is best suited to a Mad Science Special Event?
A. An ideal event location would be an area with an open space for the children to sit on the floor. Mad Science special events generally work best when held indoors. However, they can be performed outdoors, weather permitting, where shelter from the wind can be provided.
Q. Do we need to provide Mad Science with any equipment?
A. For each scheduled show and activity station, we will require an 8-foot long banquet-style table to place our equipment on. Depending on the show you select, we may need access to an electrical outlet, access to a sink and/or water along with a sink to rinse out and clean our glassware and other equipment after the event.
Q. Will we require additional staff for clean-up after the event?
A. No, our events are mess free! We clean-up after ourselves when we’re finished. The Mad Scientist will need about 30 minutes time for packing and cleaning-up after the event.
Q. How long in advance should I begin to plan for a Mad Science event?
A. As soon as possible! Mad Science special events are in great demand; we suggest that you book your date as soon as possible.
Q. How do I book a Special Event?
A. Please call us on 01159221113 or simply click here to emial us.

Shows are held at the location of your choice and are between 45 minutes to a full day in length.

We offer the following spectacular shows:

Fire and Ice – Children will be dazzled and entertained as they interact with our Mad Scientists!  Foggy dry ice storms, giant beach balls floating in the air and even a special Mad Science “burp” potion will amaze children as they learn about chemical reactions, air pressure and the states of matter.

Up, Up and Away! – This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pressure. Hot air balloons, vortex generators and even a hovercraft will help children understand the power of air.

Spin, Pop Boom – The audience will be amazed when the Mad Scientist is able to defy gravity in this energetic and spectacular special event. Colour changing liquids, foaming hands and steaming chemical reactions will introduce children to a world of exciting chemistry.

Marvels of Motion – This interactive event is all about the fundamentals of moving science including Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion and surprises including egg-tossing and space age rocket packs. Discover the science behind some of your favorite Olympic sports and find out why this show is such a “blast!”

Be Tobacco Free – An exciting, educational, and entertaining approach to help children make healthy choices about using tobacco products. Volunteers will pump up a real sheep’s lung, and children will see how the heart and lungs work and discover all about the toxic chemicals contained in tobacco products.
